Located at 658 Bandocho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, in the To Securities Building on the 2nd floor, this spot offers an incredible dining experience that won’t break the bank. Whether you’re looking for a satisfying meal after a day of shopping or a cozy dinner with friends, this restaurant is an excellent choice.

Less Than $13 Per Serving

We ordered the sukiyaki for two, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The wagyu beef was tender, beautifully marbled, and packed with umami flavor. As we dipped each slice into the rich, slightly sweet soy-based broth, it absorbed all the flavors, creating a mouthwatering experience with every bite. The addition of fresh vegetables, tofu, and mushrooms balanced out the dish perfectly. The final step—dipping the beef into raw egg—added a creamy, velvety texture that enhanced the overall taste.

Aburi Sushi: A Must-Try

We also ordered the aburi sushi and the Mount Fuji aburi sushi, which turned out to be an absolute highlight of our meal. The lightly seared beef on top had a perfect smoky aroma that blended beautifully with the fresh, delicate rice beneath. Each piece was buttery, rich, and slightly charred, giving it a depth of flavor that you don’t get with regular sushi. The Mount Fuji aburi sushi was a stunning presentation, resembling the famous peak itself.

Ending on a High Note: Shime Chahan

No meal is complete without a satisfying final dish, and the shime chahan (fried rice) delivered just that. The rice was perfectly cooked, slightly crispy, and packed with umami-rich seasonings. Every spoonful had a delightful mix of flavors, with bits of egg, green onions, and savory seasoning blending together harmoniously. It was the perfect comfort food to round off an already impressive meal.
